Well I figured after long procrastination to start a build thread on my 98 gsx.

I’m just a blue collar family man from Milwaukee. I purchased my first 420a Dodge Avenger when I was 15 in early 2003. When I got my license we would cruise the local strip Hwy.100. That is when I got the the reality check…. I was slow. Turbo eclipse, Srt-4, cobalt SS, Mazda 3, and other turbo Hondas etc. were dominating.
Fast forward to 2005 and I purchased my first 95 GST with a 2gb conversion. This is where it all started. I have since been through a handful of gsx eclipses and Vr4s.

Below is my gem, my diamond in the rough. Being a good Dad/husband is my #1 priority so I’m only able to tinker on the car sparingly, but I’ve been pleased with progress thus far.

Here is CL ad and day of arrival 10/15/19.

Watch out with that intake setup. The tires throw up a ton of dirt into that filter so consider making something that blocks debris from the tire.
For sure. I’m hoping I can angle it forward enough to stay in front of the wheel liner, velocity stack def. took some extra space. Also moving the oil cooler to passenger side as I didn’t feel comfortable with it being so close to exhaust cutout. So things will be tight in that passenger fog area. Upper radiator fitting will also need to be cut back and re welded if I keep intake pipe. :hmm:

I know this car well. I'm glad it went to a good and competent home. Proud it will be improved upon and enjoyed. I'm Impressed!!
