Problems with missing shifts, racing etc

Here's how it usually goes i go to race from a roll, let's say 10mph and when i go to put in 2nd gear it grinds and grinds and doesn't go in, usually when it goes in the car hauls but i am usually too far to win anyways

I've always had a problem with shifting gears while racing, it's like the don't want to go in, i shift accordingly, i don't redline it etc.

Is there anything i can do to fix this? It's damn near impossible to race my car, recently the pedal stayed depressed and the car doesn't go into gear, this was while racing, i was told it's the slave cylinder since the car goes into gear while turned off.

Will replacing the slave cylinder, put in an ACT2100 kit, put in a shifter bushing kit help make my car more raceable?
I am getting really tired of this problem, i can drive any of my friends cars( WRX, integra) without any shifting problems.

Change your tranny fluid to penzoil synchromesh or BG synchroshift if you havent already it helps a lot.

Also try adjusting your clutch this is the 1g adjustment but 2g's are the same.

Also adjusting the shifter cables helped me in my 1g, i don't see why you couldnt do it on a 2g also but there isn't a FAQ for it. here is the 1g one so you know what i'm talking about. http://www.vfaq.com/mods/shifter3.html

Bro take my advice the slave cylinder is about 40 bucks and change it i had the same exact problem with the pedal and everything, and then i will turn off the car and they would go in perfectly also take it off and take the little rubber boot off and it should be leaking
