Press Bent or Mandrel Bent?

What is the difference between press bent and mandrel bent pipes. I went on Buschur web site and it said someone put a 2 1/2 down pipe press bent and went in the high 11's.

What is difference between the two as far as performance...

Mandrel bending is better. Air will flow much smoother and stay the same diameter throughout. I have a mandrel bent hooker catback system waiting to go on my camaro. My exhaust now has no bends at all

Some longtube headers, about 3 feet of 2.5'' pipe to 2 chamber flowmasters. Can we say LOUD? it sets car alarms off like crazy.

Madrel bending keeps the inside diameter constant in the bent area. Press bent will not and have what is called "bottlenecks" where the diameter actally gets smaller or oblonged through the bendt are and also sometimes have little wrinkles of the bend is hard enough.

The madrel bend is better simply because if you get a 2.5 madrel bend, it is 2.5 inside diameter all the way through.

would a 3" press bent be equivalent to a 2.5" mandrel bent? on an awd eclipse/talon considering it has different piping needs than the fwd? because i had planned on getting the n1 muffler/silencer and having a friend at the local muffler shop run some pipe for me
but i have different goals than some people, i only plan on doing intake/exhaust/uicp licp/bov and boost controller (fuel pump too)
