searched, checked relays, fuzes looked for loose wires...can't find anything checked the switches nothing .

took the car to get the tranny rebuilt that was the last time i remember them working.. i left, went to kosovo and came back. it was cold so it didn't bother me. now its kinda hot... need to find out what the problem is. the only thing i can think of is the window motor but how do they both go out at the same time? im really lost here. if anyone could help me i would appreciate it. thanks.

Take the door panel off of the main door. Check to see if the windows came off of the track. If they are off they will not roll up. Could be the motors too, strange how they both went out at the same time. Could been a short and they both went out.

its still on the track...i think it the motors im gonna order some new ones. anyone know how hard they are to replace?

kool man thanks.......

yea but that should've only shorted out on motor..... the chances of both shorting out at the same time are slim

was thinking the same thing...i checked the relays..changed em out and they still don't work... im just gonna get new motors and see what happens.

I'm having power window problems as well. There's a vfaq talking all about what the hell is going wrong. The two windows are actually linked so them both going bad is not a mystery. For example, on mine, sometimes i can't get my pass. window to go down from the pass. side switch unless i first press the driver's side pass. switch and then press the pass. side switch. It's not uncommon, I don't think it's your motors unless you're sure that everything is aligned and on track and your switches are in good condition. I pulled my switch modules and checked the metal contacts and find the black buildup on them and even after a cleaning they were still worthless. I'd say your switches need to be replaced. People sell used switches for 15-20 bucks on dsmtrader.com.

tried that too..got a extra set of door panels in my basement and i cleaned the switches (via vfaq) still nothing. i don't know i'll check em again today i still ordered mtors for em they were like 10 bucks a piece here so i got em. should be here friday. this is getting on my nerves

if one thing goes wrong in the whole power window set up, they wont work. it could be a short somewhere or maybe a fuse. 1 of the motors could me messed up and causing the other one to mess up.

hmmmm I didn't see what the problem was but with my car, I thought that the motors for my windows were messed up too. The problem was that the windows would go up perfectly fine from both sides, but I tried putting them down from drivers side and it wouldn't work, only from passenger side. I finally figured out about two weeks ago that it was just the switches were pushed waaay down so that when I tried to push it down, it had nowhere to go, therefore it wouldn't power the windows. So what I had to do was pull up on the drivers side window switch and keep that held up and push the passenger side down and then when I want to put the drivers side down, pull up on the passengers window switch with the lock on and push down on the drivers side window.

Stop guessing and don't buy anything yet!! Start with logical troubleshooting. Hook-up a voltmeter [or a 12V bulb] to the connector in the door. Push buttons and see if voltage is even getting to the window motors. If 'yes', it's the motors; if 'no' then oops, it's time to get a wiring diagram and trace out the electrical path. I agree with 2GeNTSi that it could be toasted switches. See if you can check them out with an ohmmeter.
I'm not familiar with '95s... Is there a 'windows lock out' button?
