power steering squeel

I have a 1996 talon tsi and recently i can hear a squeel coming from the power steering belt/pully, its not incredibly loud but you can hear it at idle but when driving it goes away, the belt was put on about two years ago. I tightned the belt and it still does it, does the pump need replacing? thanks

Sounds like its due for a rebuild

Sounds like your pump is starting to go out. It will get louder over time.

Did you check the fluid level?

As mentioned by Flash1970, take a look at the fluid level first

I put new belts on, replaced the alternator, switched power steering pumps with a spare I had, and it turned out to be the water pump bearing going bad.
