:laser: I have a 91 laser and i just bought my 3 inch turbo back exhaust system from rnr as well as a 2nd gen exhaust manifold because mine had a crack. How do i go about porting the exhaust manifold and the 02 housing by my self? Or is it worth paying someone to do it for me. Also am i looking into some boost creep problems with this set up. Thanks for the input i got the exhaust manifold sitting in my room so im waiting for you guys

Send the exhaust manifold and O2 housing to me and I'll port it for a reasonable price. I charge 50 for the manifold (remove step and port out to whatever size you want and also port runners if you like) and 30 for the O2 plus shipping. My dad owns a tool and die shop and I can put the piece in the milling maching and then in the jig grinder so that everything is within 2/10,000 of an inch and polished smooth.

You can ask White99GSX and AWD99GSX about the quality of my work.

You can do it yourself, but you'll spend a lot of time and money using the stuff you can buy at the store. I use industrial grade carbide bits and polishing wheels on the machines they were designed for. I also have mounts made so it only takes about an hour a piece to do. Shipping would be fast and cheap too since you're only in OH. Let me know if you interested.

Oh yeah, if you're going to have that set-up, you'll probably have some problems with boost creep unless you port the wastegate hole on the turbo and even that won't eliminate creep completely.

How hard is it to do. Because i heard it aint to much of job to do it. Is that a good combo 3inch external dump ported 2 nd gen exhasut manifold 14b turbo 3 inch all the way back>?

No, it's not that bad if you know what you're doing and have some things already set-up. I remember when I did my first one and I thought it was a pain in the ass. I've already made mounts for everything in the machine shop so I can't screw it up and things go quickly. If you're using regualr tools, you will spend a good bit of time doing this and you will use up a lot of bits.

You're setup should be good. I would look into the 34mm flapper mod while you have everything apart. Porting around the wastegate flapper helps, but if you put a 34mm flapper in there, you're spending a little extra, but providing a lot of insurance for your setup.
