I know that a 14B on a 2G is an upgrade. My question is, how much of an upgrade?? I can get a 14B for $100, and that is a lot more affordable for me as I am on an extremely tight budget. I just don't want to buy this turbo and be dissatisfied with it. I am not looking for a great increase in power, but just wondering if the 14B is gonna be worth it. :dsm:

thats one of the best hundred your gonna spend for a budget car

What condition is the 14b in? If it doesn't need a rebuild then go for it.

My stock 14b failed right when I made it into 13's. Got another one from a friend for 100 dollars. Took it out for a test drive and it lasted about an hour and blew again. I didnt' have any clogs in oil/coolant feed or drain lines. I guess they where just too tired.

Dumb newbee question, but with a 255 fuel pump, for the most part how much PSI can we run with our stock 450 injecotrs with the 14b? 18psi? I just brought a 14b for my 6bolt. :) (have T25 on it now :()

If your GST is the fastest car you have ever driven, it will be a noticable gain.

for only 100 bucks there is no good reason to not upgrade to it. Increase in power, get rid of the lame ass t25, and enjoy the art of full pull to redline. I've driven in so many cars powered by t25s. They think their cars are so fast because they pull really hard for a split second, but right after the t25 spools up it just starts to die out and leave its effeciency range. It only feels like its pulling so hard because it spools up so fast it pulls really hard for a second and then dies off. U'll notice instantly with the 14b that u'll be pressed against ur seat for a lot longer than the t25 ever had u :)

Might I ask why this is such a dumb question. He may be a newb, but how do you expect him to learn?......dumbass.

What I think is dumb is that you have a T-2small on your 6 bolt, you have no room to talk about dumb.

Heres some useful info. Inspect the turbo before buying it. Take your index finger and thumb and grab ahold of the shaft (its in the center of the compressor housing) if it moves back and forth while wiggling it, it needs a rebuild. By the time you send it off to be rebuilt (pay for that) the cost to ship it there and back and a clip or port and polish you could have a nice big 16g.

my $.02

what this guy said . Anyways . Yes buy the 14b if its in good condition . Will notice a good improvement.

What if your entire engine is maxxed out. afc, pump, I/C, ect. ect. And then put on the 14b. How much power would that make on it?

by engine do you mean injectors? If so, then you will get killer top end gains while you run lean, all the way up til you melt a few pistons :thumb:

Thats the way I read it so phuck off. You took his question and replied to it in a manner you thought was proper, and I responded to your post because I understood it that way.
