Trip to the dyno went well this week. The car is night-and-day idling, running, and driving better. My tuner would prefer I throw the Link G4 over a cliff and buy Haltech, but he got the job done well with what's on the car. We had less than ideal weather - 92* F ambient temps with 60% humidity. The dyno is an AWD Mustang dyno. And on E85 and about 26psi boost, it made 433 WHP and 345 ft/lb TQ. We couldn't seem to get more out of the turbo. Compressor map shows it's good to about ~52 lb/min airflow. It would spike to ~29 psi and it would fall to 26 psi. Either way, she's making good power for a street car and certainly fun to drive. At this power level, I'll hopefully keep the car very reliable as well.

What turbo setup is it?
FP3076

I really nice upgrade for that is sending it to FP for the htz76 compressor that sends it up 61lbs/min.
Yeah? I thought about giving FP a call about an upgrade. I definitely want to keep all of the existing hot parts and another 10 lb/min is right were I was hoping to be. This may be worth looking into.

Yeah, my old htz76 was really nice. I honestly shouldn't have ever sold it.

I swapped in two new fuel pumps today. AEM 400's. Also cleaned out the pre-filters, which was much-needed. This is a pretty dope pump set-up. The AEM pumps are a direct copy of the Bosch 044 pump. Fitted with XRP pre-filters and XRP exit fittings that encompass the odd-looking Bosch/AEM check valves. That last part is super handy as the system holds pressure for extended periods of time and has no "pump up" issues on a cold start with -8AN fuel hose.

A little backstory on the fuel tank and pump set-up: Danny and I built it back in 2017. He wanted to sump the tank and add another pump to switch to E85. We originally cut a massive hole in the tank and tacked on a Moroso sump kit. And we hated it. It was huge, looked like crap and wasn't really sized and shaped the best. So we cut it off and started from scratch bending some sheet in a brake and then fabbed up a bracket for the pumps. All in all, we were both happy with the outcome.

Did some interior work yesterday. I welded in a new harness bar (well, technically, I welded on mounts for the new bolt-in harness bar). I also replaced the 17 year old RJS camlock harnesses with some new Schroth DOT harnesses - quicker and more street car friendly. And I upgraded the steering wheel. The old Sparco had very worn and loose suede and I never did like the small feel of the 13" diameter. The new steering wheel is a full-suede MPI 14" track day wheel and I absolutely love it so far. MPI makes the best steering wheels.
