palm pilot for 1G taln tsi

i had a palm IIIxe but i left it in car for about five years of Louisiana heat so it is now not working. anyway i still have the cable and disc with MMCD on it.

1. should i just get another palm III or a Palm m515?
2. does the same cable with w m515?
3. does the same MMCD i have work with m515?
4. Is MMCD free software? (i thought i saw a site that said that)

Can't help with the device questions. Yes MMCd is free software. The source for earlier versions is actually available if your into PalmOS programming.

thats the kits i was lookin at also. its why i wondered if cables are same for both palms. i can get a either palm for under 50 bucks. if cable works on m515 then i would just get it. i reallly thinking bout getting dsmlink just want to see if i can half ass tune it with afc first. if i can get afc figured out then im gonna buy dsmlink.
