I will bring my helmet just incase I get a wild hair up my @ss. Anyone have one of those portable popup tent things? Rain or shine, they make good cover for those wanting to chill around the cars... could also use it to put stuff under....drinks and what not.

SonySlave; whats up with the "who's in list" lets put this thing together!

We cant expect DSM_Zak to through down for all the meets; unless that something he wants to do. I'd think for each meet we should have a designated "meet mother" :rocks: that will keep track of who is coming and how many. Post up the OFFICIAL place and date, and make sure there is someone that will make an effort to get out the info people need. Zak did a great job last time, and I think that was a big part of its success.

I figured sense this was SonySlaves post he might be the man for the job. I'd be willing to do it next time if there is no one else jumping to do one in there neck of the woods. However; I live like five minutes from the last meet location (lynnwood, alderwood mall) and will keep any meet I put together in the King / Snohomish county area, fairly close to this last one. If thats a problem for any one, I can wait my turn until we get the meets moved around the area a bit and then come back to here.

I hope this one turns out to be a good idea. I'd like to have well planned meets to look forward to every month, or so. Even more if they are in this area; maybe an hours drive. I'd think one big meet a month like the Lynnwood meet is good. Maybe when things warm up we can do a park, with some food and refreshments and such...

Second Sunday of every month????

I'm in, and I will be racing. As long as Jack's gets my tranny turned around in the two weeks he said he could I wont be stuck in the stands.

As I'm sure some of you are aware, I'm recovering from a snapped timing belt. I had planned to fully rebuild the broken Cyl. head (all valves bent) but decided to run a spare 120K mile unit I have sitting in the shed and not skimp on the tranny rebuild I've been planning sense before the 01-13 meet.

It'll be close and a few thing need to go rite, but as long as I have the parts there's no reason I can't "get her done"!

Debow, you should use proper english, half the time its hard to understand what your really trying to say until the 3rd time I've read it!

Anyways, I need to buy parts ASAP for my build!
Eagle rods will be put in with mahle pistons. I just havn't ordered them yet.
The motor is at the machine shop and they called me today wanting to know whats going on with my motor, I'm assuming they havn't touched it and is waiting for parts just as I am.

guess it's time to order the good stuff.
Oh well here it goes, $1500 in bottom end parts/cleaning.

Anyone have a place/shop I could use for a week or so to get my motor swapped out?
My car is at my parents house under a friggin tree with branches and pine needles all over it, and it brings a tear to my eye.

I need to get her into a shop and yank out whats in there right now.
If anyone has a place, PM me:)

SonySlave - good choice on the list add.
I didn't make another meet because I wanted to give someone else a chance to make one.
I'll be attending but it's a race to get the motor in, but I'm not going to be rushing it.

*sigh* I miss my DSM.
I hate my DD - Damn hondas are too reliable.

ZAK u need a loaner I will let u drive my old black GST LOL. I want to see how that thing moves before i leave the state ZAK. Anyways i know there was some questions that people were throwing at Sony about the prices and all the ones i got from comparing web surfing at work and by word of mouth its 35 to race 10 to spectate. But u said something about all day is more????? My word of mouth source was a guy name Mike Wiess that races alot so I dont know. To Debow a helmet is a helmet in racing except the old german helmets if you know what im talk about are not allow in dragracing period. Well gentlemen not to ruin anybody hopes but from the military weather log we have for the Navy. Its a slight chance we might get rained on but it can go either way to dodge the rain clouds over there.

The cost to race or spectate is a flat rate fee. Either you pay to race or you pay to spectate. There is no extra cost for length of time, unless it is a multi-day event like the NHRA Nationals.

And actually, not all helmets are alike, and not all are ok to race with. Technically, according to NHRA rules, which all tracks in the country go by, all racers that run 13.99 or faster MUST have a helmet that is DOT legal and is Snell 2000 or later, Snell 2005 preferred. However, in our case at Pacific Raceways, they don't look too closely at the helmet on regular test n' tune days like this for the Snell rating. But, at big events like Battle Of The Imports, they pay very close attention to the helmets, helmet ratings, roll cages, etc..

And if we get rained out, we'll change the date to the next test n' tune day, February 17th. I'm going to do my best to be there both weekends anyway! :tease:

Dang, I want to go so bad but I still need to put my other manifold on, get a new turbo, get a different O2 housing, new heat shields, new timing & balance shaft belts, new waterpump, Supra SMIC, and DSM Link. Oh and a battery tie down. So hopefully by the next track meet I will be able make it!

Fellas I almost had a shock of my life with the GSX. I was tuning the boost and the car went from 18 to not boosting at all. It took me a good 20 mins to find that i broke the cottor pin off the wastegate and the bar had came of the actual wastegate. then the dude at Shucks gave me hail because he told me to go to the dealership at first to get a pin and in Bremerton we dont even have a Mitsu dealer. so after looking on the isles and 3 dollars a few minor hand burns in the parking lot and 10 mins later i was back to normal. I know what if feels like to just have a stock 4g63 non turbo because thats what it acted like. Now i have to figure whats going on with the methane injection...... Tuning....Tuning...Tuning.

Hey guys just some ideas for the next couple of meets that you might have............
I know that SonySlave is having this one in Feb. but like something to draw a crowd and would look good for like the track and for us fellow DSMr's we should see if they could open one of the test and tune days for a event but the thing is getting the cars to show up. It would be bad but all of us are not full time racers and just show cars. Even we could get the DSMr's from Oregon to see if they can show. Like Zak took i think 3 months I think that would be good enough time for that two. I would try to do something here in Bremerton raceway since I live here but I have to to do it in at least before may. I wouldnt mine finding out stuff here if yall up to it but for eastern washington folks I will give you the say so on if u want to come this far or not. The track is in between highway 3and highway 16 for u that dont know. Its about 10+ of us here in Bremerton that could make a turnout and for the guys on the coast it would be a better chance to get involve to. Let me know and I would start making the calls. Look up Bremerton raceway and check the pics out of the area there and get back at me and tell me what u think.

I posted this on Zaks thread too:thumb:

Meklo, I'd love to drive the GST:D

haha, I hate the honda I'm driving now, but super awsome gas milage.

I'm going to be giving extremepsi $1400 here in a couple days to buy anything and everything for my motor build. I'm looking around $2k for a motor. I can almost buy one prebuilt for that!

I found one for $2k but the main caps have stock bolts, and I'm doing the ARPs, for ARPs on that one and the align hone, its an extra $300.

Anyway, I'll be making a thread here soon of the motor build. So stay posted!

Sonyslave - Feb 17th is mah birthday, I'll be there most likly with a hang over! Would love to have the car there if all possible but I'm waiting for parts, and machine work and then drop it in...grrr. I miss my DSM.

Lol I Need To Take The Same Approach With A Build Up But I Dont Want To Take The Block Apart And Find That It Already Has What I Want. I Was In Kent When It Started Snowing And I Never Think I Could Get My Cars Back End To Fishtail. I Sure Gave Somebody At The Gas Station A Hell Of A Show. Well If I Blow It (which I Dont Want To I Going To Run It The Best I Can. Anyways For U Guys Im About To Put The Gst Up For Sale By Monday. 2 Grand And Its Worth It. I Was Going To Take It To The East Coast For A Project Or For My Little Brother But My Parents Said No. So She Up For Grabs.

Hey i have called Bremerton raceways twice and im going to ride down there on Friday to see if anybody is there. Im going to ask around to turn some stones over. On the other had does anybody have a spare alternator of a 1g that i can buy off them. p/m me....i need one:cry:

There's a complete N/T 6-bolt longblock at my local pick-a-part you could pick up for cheap. Get it machined and throw some turbo pistons in there and you're good to go! An idea maybe?

Hey put me down for spectating. My tranny is starting to disagree with me, so I can't race. This will be my first time going to a ''real track''. Back at home our local track wasn't a track at all. It was a 1/8 at a stadium in a parking lot :notgood:
