Getting cyl 3 misfire randomly. Usually will happen when im coasting to a stop but its rare. WB goes really lean, about 19:1 so im assuming its injector 3 not firing. I have swapped injectors but its always cyl 3 misfire. New ngk wires(though i dont think thats the problem).
I also caught a log of it today. The combined fts dont jump through the roof like you would think, it just runs super lean on 3 cylinders with link not trying to correct for it.
Ive sent my ecu off to tom to have it socketed so i assume he went through it. Ive checked my injector wires. Should i be looking at the injector resistor pack?
Im kind of at a loss. Oh, very important note: When it happens all i have to do is cycle power and its gone. Runs like a champ again. Seems more prone to it when the engine is cold but i dont drive the car ever til its atleast showing 160* coolant temp. I always let it idle for a while.
My wires in the engine bay are ugly but seem functional and i can see no bare spots on the injector wire or worn areas.
Im trying to narrow it down to the injector drivers in the ecu or this "resistor pack", which im not sure where it is. Havent looked in the book tonight.
Has anyone had this problem? And remember, it IS sparking when the error comes on just no fuel in that injector.
I really wish i could just get a new complete engine harness. Where would i even find one? Theyre rare and expensive as hell
edit: been doing this since i got it. Before the rebuild, after the build, witht he old pump, the 255, and now the 450 walbro. New fuel filter. Just so we can all rule that out.
