Opening the headligts housing.....

Ok I have on my 96 gst-t. One of my headligths is turning yellow.
Upon closer inpesction I noticed that there is some water inside of the headligth housing.
So I was going to try and open it clean it and see if I could get to seal beter once I closed it again.

The thingis that to remove the headligts I would have to remove the front bumper first.Now thats a lot of work!!

But before I do I would like for someone around here to tell me if is posible to OPEN THE HEADLIGTH HOUSING and then having it close and properly SEALED!!!!

And of course how is the proper way to do this????

Take all the metal clips off, and remove your bulbs and put the whole assembly in the oven. Let it sit there at 450* for 5 mins. Then pry it open with a screwdriver. I did this when I painted my headlights.
While your in there you might as well do this too.

You don't have to remove your bumper. Just grab and yank. Thats what I and a bunch of people did. Do a search for removing or painting headlights and you'll find all the info you need.

yeah if you want to break the mounting brackets...theres a bolt under the headlights but you can't get to it unless you take off the front bumper. My friend told me that you don't need to take off the bumper, so I tried doing it one day but it wouldn't come out. Just today I decided to take off the bumper and behold, there was bolt holding down the headlights. It took a while to get the bumper off because the bumper refused to come off even though I took off all the bolts.
