Time to resurrect what might be the best thread on this entire site. Gonna add some things in shortly.....too bad there isn't another forum for this thread. It really doesn't fit in here and is much more significant than 99% of the bologna posted in The Hangout. Hey mods? Got another place we can put this? It fits as good here as it would fit in the Drag Race or Roadrace forums only it won't get buried under a load of random threads. ???

I don't think I ever posted this one here. It's a belt buckle.

Awesome! Never saw it in gold. Mine is silver or pewter color. :thumb:

Thanks for the bump, this thread is worth reading over again.

Welcome, glad you appreciate this stuff. :hellyeah:

Here's some stuff for today: A couple of keychains, C & D 1991 yearbook with Talon shot on cover from the October 1989 issue, an NOS Laser front garnish and rear bumper cover emblems, my Extreme caps from when I was part of that camp, and a pretty cool Jeep/Eagle sales training VHS vid which includes, "Talon vs. The Competition." Enjoy!

This one is pewter in color as well, the lighting is just weird. That would be awesome if it were kind of a bronze in color though!

Love the Eagle Mopar Performance key ring!

Yes it is very cool, was excited to have found that! Whenever I think there's nothing else out there, something cool pops up.

With that, here's some things for today:

1. A rare article on the Laser from an unknown newspaper
2. A couple of Talon Sales Training Guides for Eagle Salespersons
3. A Talon Paint swatch from '90, and a Talon/Summit from '91
4. A Talon postcard that dealers and/or manufacturer mailed out to promote
5. A Talon slide, most likely from a press kit or something

Enjoy!

Does anyone have or know where to get the eagle version of asa/ caps?

Here's my contribution, this is the most prized piece of my collection (I have a lot LOL) it's a 1/24 scale wooden 2g model:

Never seen another one before also possibly the only model with the correct body lines and bumpers (most other scales are too angular, they don't get the eclipse curves specially on the rear wings)

How cool is that? Love it!

That's pretty incredible!

Since you guys all have Talons, how 'bout them apples?! ;)

Pretty sick! Now, here's a question: Who made them?

No clue, still trying to figure that out. My best guess is they were made by a designer. The guy I bought them from was also selling other VERY specific wooden/plastic/resin models of only American cars (only had them in unique models, no more than one of each, and they went quick for high prices: Dodge caravans, Chevrolet, GM etc). They also have two holes at the bottom to strap them in something as well as the model/year in black marker.

Small size model for aerodynamic analysis? Model for the designers or corporate guys? Your guess is as good as mine.

PS: the wheels on the 1g were added by me just to make it sit pretty in its display case, didn't come with those. Although it did have a track for an axle for wheels, so at some point it had some. It's also all wood (seems like a light wood like Balsa wood which is painted, definitely lighter than the 2g model of the same scale)

I also made this a little while ago:

Official DSM Toy Model thread - Club DSM Canada

Pretty much all the models available (or almost all, I may be missing a few and some weren't taken in pictures yet). I was thinking making a comprehensive list of all these as a sticky somewhere if the moderators let me (with new pictures) that way when people are looking for a model, they know exactly what to look for.
