ok my 1st post here, so im cashing in on my noobie status!

ok this may not be as dumb of a question as i think it is, but im prepared to be flamed!
is it possible to fill a helium tank with NO2? i ask because im buying a zex kit from a buddy who lives far away, we are meeting up at the El Mirage Dry Lakebed in so. cali and we're installing out there as well. the problem is the bottle that he has is empty and he has no place to fill it where he lives, so i was going to get another bottle filled here where i live and bring it out so we can use it. i have a few helium tanks at my disposal so it would be ideal if they could be filled with the NO2.

i'm not too sure about that, because the valves are probably different between the steel braided hose and the helium tank, you wont be able to hook them up, if i'm correct. i can't think of a reason, but i dont think it's safe to fill up a helium tank with n2o.

I wouldn't even attempt something like that. Only use a nitrous tank for nitrous. This is how disasters happen because a lot of times stuff like that is not designed for what were trying to use it for.

We have no idea how nitrous and the cold nevermind huge pressure will affect that valve. The bottle probablly doens't have a release valve on it either which is not really safe for automotive use if your ever in an accident to keep the bottle from blowing up..

Simply a bad idea.
