oil leak

1991 Eagle Talon TSI AWD Turbo ....I noticed oil dripping from around the oil cooler, right behind the oil filter, this was leaking for about a week...then today I lost all kinds of power and white smoke coming from the muffler...and oil slinging from the timing belt area throwong oil evrywhere hitting underneath my hood....did i blow a seal og some kind or does this sound like a broken ring.....the car will still start and drive but slings oil and smokes very bad...

Usually white smoke mean you blew a head gasket, but I'm not sure about the oil blowing everywhere. Can you see where the oil is coming from?? If it's coming from the timing belt area it could be the front case, but that just a guess. Hope you can get it fixed..
By the way, I wouldn't drive the car if it was mine.

There is also a gasket between the oil cooler manifold (the part the filter mounts to) and the front case. A bad leak from here could easily spray onto the crank pulley and result in oil everywhere. It could also be from the front case like dave2953 said.

mine is doing the same thing and it happen to be the cam seals
its sucks that i have to pull every thing apart to change it
look like a good time to put cams in
