oh no, knockin sound!

today at 6500rpm in second gear, made a funny soud and lost some power. now i got metal flakes in the oil and a loud knockin sound coming from the driver side @3k+ , down near the oil pump/balence shaft location. the timing belt i did not to long ago and the oil pump sproket didnt turn to easily, couldnt turn by hand. that and it was leaking oil from the pan and i didnt know after some dirt road fun

what could it be?

my oil presure gauge is broken, so i cant tell what it is. if i take the oil cap off some smoke rises, you can see oil spraing onto the cam lobes.i do loose oil fast and i dont see any major leaks

im thinking this might be the balence shaft that is connected to the oil pump. it sounds like harsh vibration


my friends is doing the same thing now, what are the odds, so please lend a hand for these 2 DSMs.
