i figured i'd get a little more help here. my car won't boost.. around 3k and i hear air escaping... did a boost leak test and air came from the tinny nipple (greddy type s vented) that shouldn't be connected to anything. anybody have any advice?? :(

I have heard that the Type S eventually wears out a tiny spring in it that will prevent it from holding too much boost. However, since you are vented do you have a gm maft setup on your car?

no i was going to upgrade it when i pulled the code saying the mas was bad, but my funds were short so i just bought the stock mas. i plugged everything up again (for boost leak test) including the nipple this time, sounds like a leak is coming from engine it's self, not any hoses, or throttle body or the intake mani ... anybody got any thoughts? gasket?

update, i used soapy water, leak coming from intake manifold gasket

anybody know of a good diy website for this?
