About the power numbers. I don't think a raw max power number is a good measure of a car. We really focused on all around compromises and an outstanding torque curve and reliability not just peak numbers. I'm pretty sure some of the other shops focus on these same aspects.

Good to know a member (not just any, either) uses KBR, as that is about as close as a shop can get to me in Cloverdale, CA.

My question is, is there such a thing as a shop charging less than $600-$700 to pull an AWD tranny? As far as I can tell there is no such beast on this side of the country. I envy those who post about $350 clutch jobs.
