Could I use the shortblock of a 2.0 nonturbo engine and run really low boost? Or would that just give the engine a really short lifespan?

I'm just looking for a quick replacement, def. not going to be anything high performance.

It's the same block, minus the oil squirters. We've built these here for our own cars as they blocks can be found cheaper, and if turbo timed and warmed before beating, they have no issues whatso ever. Keep an eye out I've seen one or two w/ no provision for a knock sensor, otherwise, identicle, boost away!
