Ok here's the deal: I had a stock 99 longblock and because I wanted more power, I decided to do a small rebuild. Here's what I did, swapped the head for an evo 3 with no work done, kiggly beehives, titanium retainers, topline revised lifters, kelford 272s,, new timing belt, new water pump, kept the balance shafts, replaced the oil pan, arp headstuds torqued to 90 ft. Lbs., evo 8 rods and pistons with new rings, new rod bearings.
I recently started my motor and I noticed I had no oil pressure at all (I also have an oil pressure gauge at oil feed for my holset ) so I'm wondering what to check. I took the oil cap off and my cams were virtually bone dry. I read somewhere to check my oil pick up tube filter. I read about taking something off of the ofh and hooking a drill up? I didn't understand quite. How do I check for sure i I got oil pressure and any other remedies I could exercise for my problem? Thanks in advance
