Installed this new JDM engine, with basically all stock internals. Drove amazing since install on 13 JULY 2011. I even drove it 1300 on the freeway (down home and back) and around my hometown with no issues. I went in to start it this morning, and something just doesn't seem right. I go to drive the car (manual tranny), and it doesn't accelerate like it should. It won't surpass 2380-ish rpms and that's even if I floor it. There is NO CEL at all. I reversed it into my garage, and turned the car off ( was only able to get it 50 feet out of my drive way. The car idles fine, until i rev up the car a bit (around 1900 rpms). But when I let the car come down off that rev, the car rpms bounce from 0 (that's right, 0) to around 350-400 rpms for a few seconds, then goes back up to around 800-1200. The garage smells like straight up fuel, and there's a little bit of greyish smoke that comes out the exhaust, but its really thin smoke (cant even notice it unless you put your face right up to the pipe. There are no fluid leaks, and all fluids are good and full. I had a friend borrow my car for a day, and he filled it with 87 (idiot), and burnt through 3/4 of a tank with that in it. I am befuddled on what it could be or how to fix it, because I have to move on Thursday across town, and it would really suck if my car (packed with most of my belongings already) can't even move....can anyone help? I can send a short video if need be to an email if you would like to see the car issues. Thanks  :banghead:

Check for fouled plugs. The low octane fuel may have fouled them.

As for the lack of power over 2k, it sounds like you have air getting in the engine that the ECU doesn't know about. Boost leak test, and check for vacuum leaks.

Yeah that's got to be a vacuum leak, easiest way to check is to use some throttle body cleaner and spray it around the vacuum lines until the idle steadies and that's where your leak will be
