no boost

I hit a deer a few weeks ago and just got my car back out tonight. I got a new radiator and what not but was running it with a small dent in the wastegate actuator (16g). you can hear it start to spool up but but ocassionally breaks like 1psi. I probablt have a boost leak but was running around 15psi before i hit the deer. Should a new actuator fix my problem or is it probably something more serious? thanks

Have you checked to make sure the actuator is connected to the flapper? If so then yes you probably need a new actuator if you can't repair the one you have.

i got it off and its pretty bent up too. im hoping thats just the problem

you should still do a boost leak test even if the actuater fixes the problem just to be sure that is your only problem

Yea i found even the smallest dents or bend in the actuators and mess them up. I got an extra off my 14b if you need it. PM me if interested...

FYI, you could test it on the car by hooking some sort of compressed air up to it.

Have you checked the intercooler pipes? One may have slipped off.
