Welcome. Before you start on that quest, be sure to do some reading here:

"Converting it to a turbo Eclipse" will be expensive, and depending on what type of conversion you are referring to (creating a turbo kit for the existing engine or trying to swap in a turbo 4G63 engine) it could require a shit ton of fabrication that will be REALLY expensive. If you had the fabrication skills to do it yourself I imagine you wouldn't be posting such a general request for guidance. That tells me you'll probably need to pay a shop to do it - good luck with that, as not many shops out there do these conversions, as they're not common. Do more research on the type of conversion you want to do and know that you're going to need several thousands to make it work unless you are a skilled fabricator and have done something like this before - or you know a great fabricator that will do a lot of the work for you at no/little cost.

We might want to have someone create a new thread about current turbo kit options available for the 420A cars - don't think any exist anymore except for eBay kits, but it would be good to make that known and add it to the FAQ forum. This way new members can find this info quickly.

There are plenty of kits from both Ebay and Amazon, but the dead horse has been beaten about how low quality they are.

You can source quality turbos that "fit" the 420a all day long. But finding all the right parts to make it work is the issue. You can start with Ebay parts that are just simply metal, so you don't have to worry about their"reliability". Such as this:

The T3 and T4 turbos have the same bolt pattern, so any will do though you'll want:

^Just simply because those are trusted and proven brands that have been around for years.

Of course the intercooler routing and exhaust routing will need to be custom fab. Now let me stop here, as others can present more info, others who have done the swap.

And once again, a big welcome from all of us!
