have a 97 Mitsubishi Eclipse gsx that developed crank walk. We did the research and attempted the 2g to 1g swap and ran into issues,so long story short we took it to a garage to be finished. The garage has done a great job but now has eliminated all problems down to electrical issues. Now our question is can someone point us to a garage in northwest Pennsylvania that knows what the hell they are doing with the engine swap and electrical things that need to be done? Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have lived on the phone lately to find someone with no luck.

I would think if the hard parts are done you can wire it up based on the guide Marty provided. Just take your time and do quality work. It wont be difficult, just a bit time consuming.
Outside of that, what specifically is the problem with the current shop? If you provide them the information they need, couldn't they just finish it up for your?

All the information is available on the web. We can help point you in the right direction if you describe the specific problems they are facing.

    Best of luck!

we used that thread a lot during the swap but still hit issues. We bought the wiring harness adapter through Magnus , still no start. Found out computer was fried so put new computer into it and now we have spark, fuel and in all reality it should start but it won't. The garage called road racing engineering and they said it may be the CAS is the wrong one that we need 93-94 CAS. Mainly just keep hitting walls so rather than mess something up royally we are looking for a garage that knows the swap and all that goes with it.
