Hello all hope your all safe and well in this current situation.

Im here today to tell you of an item i thought about last year, mainly because mine had cracked and split. This prototype is for someone in Canada because theirs is also rotton and you cannot buy these new anymore! Only the 99 units with charchol canister at a cost of $300 plus shipping!

Im trying to look after our cars for a long time and make parts that are discontinued to keep them looking their best and function well and last along long time (more then the car likely will) think of this as a restoration part if you like.

The actual main body that will be made will be 1 tube thats going to be CNC bent to make them all exactly the same. This is done outside since i cannot do this at work. Most of the materals will be 316L stainless steel. There is a reducer and filler neck which will be welded onto the main body tube.

The cap will be designed in such away that the roll over valve will be built into it and also allow it to vent at the same time. In the event the car rolls the stainless ball drops and seals it stopping all fuel from all ports from escaping. Cap will be made from Aluminum

The fittings for the breather(s) will all be AN male fittings and can be adapted to suit any fittings of your choosing including push fit lines for an oem setup.
All flanges will be laser cut and i will also make one for the outer section to look nice and match the rest of the setup so opening the body filler flap will look nice inside.

It bolts up via 1 neck with 3 bolts, also 1 mounting tab under the chassis rail and fits inside the oem angle protector if you wish to still use it.

Price will be $425 shipped to the lower 48. Payment due upfront to be added to the list.

This price is based on 20 units sold in 1 batch. I can do 10 units but the price will go up since the parts made outside will go up on me. Please bear in mind im making everything from scratch from filler cap/neck to the cnc bent tube all from 316 stainless steel. Nothing is off the shelf items! Only the ball bearings.

Im trying to fill a gap where old parts are failing and not replaceable and another used item will only do the same till it goes again. Im looking into items in need thats discontinued so this is one of the first on my list.

Thanks Bobby

Maybe add a small note at top describing what it is first. I had to read all of it and see pics to figure it out. Looks great tho!

That’s pretty dope. If this is still running in July, I may be able to hop on. Right now is a bad time for me financially.

I understand its not a great time etc. I might keep it as an interest thread and work on a 1G unit in the back ground and bring it back next year perhaps when the world is in better health and times.

right everyone, i currently have about 7 people with interest in this item,

Is this something that people are wanting so they can protect for the future when the oem piece all decide to rot out?
the price listed is based on 20 units being produced because thats when i get a reduction on prices from machine work and tube work, but i can do 10 units but the price will rise but not worked out by how much by as i always work out the 20 first as its always the cheaper option.

if this is not a required item i will ship this one off shortly to the lucky owner and i will assume these are an item of no importance and not required for a discontinued part.

Sorry Bobby. I live in California and we have emission stuff we have to pass. I think that style of cap, even though it’s Bad A**, it wouldn’t pass emissions for me. I’d have to take the entire pipe off and put it bk on every time I’d have to go smog the car.

The ford fusion dont have a cap as standard and thats also a cali car?
If you have emissions and evap stuff still i can make it without the vent in the cap. Its only in their really to help those with after market tanks as they dont have evap items anymore

I would be in for 1. Even if the group buy doesn't go through I would purchase a welded one like the original you made

Thanks for the support. If i can make it to 10 i can do the smaller order but the price does go up from the cnc guys so as long as those costs are covered i can make 10. I wanted 20 as its where i start to get cheaper costs. Send me your email via pm and i will add you to my list.

Thanks
