Hey everyone just joined up! I love this forum I have searched up threads from here before but have never joined till now. Got myself a 95 420A 5spd, it need a fair amount of tlc but that’s what projects are for right! I know it’s not an AWD TSI but it could have some potential LOL! My first DSM was a 1G AWD TSI, so I have experience in the DSM game but not with a 420a. Anyways to make a long story short, I’ve been trying to find a part number or some kind on information on the fuel tank float, from what I understand in the TSI the pump and float are one unit but in the esi, the float is separate. Where I’m at, parts cars basically don’t exist so it’s all internet shopping. Am I better off just buying a universal float or is there another option/info?

Thanks!

Hey, welcome to the forum! Nice to see another 420A car getting some love. :thumb: As far as the float, are you talking about the fuel tank sending unit? If so, it is part number MR392017. Unfortunately it looks to be discontinued:

EDIT: It would seem there are two sending units. MR392017 appears to have been used during later model years, whereas MR241078 was used on earlier models: https://www.mitsubishipartsnow.com/oem-parts/mitsubishi-fuel-gauge-sending-unit-mr241078

If that's not what you need, you might have better luck asking in the maintenance & repair forum: https://www.dsmtuners.com/forum/maintenance-repairs.10/
Be sure to prefix your post with the 420A tag so that more knowledgeable folks can assist you better.

Again, welcome to the community and best of luck with the car!
