Alright kids, im not so new to the tuner game, i just have never had the money to modify until now.

My question is : i have a '93 talon ES automatic (that means, 2.0l dohc, but you all know that) i want to keep the car because i like it, and it's become my baby. would it be worth the work and time (and money) to keep it and put in manual tranny, do engine internals, increase compression, and all the other mods? or should i look for something in the tsi/gsx range?

i want a lot of low end pull. some good exhaust noise. i just want it to be more responsive in low rpms. (well. . . i also want to cruise like crazy)

if it's worth it to keep the car, what can i do to get the low end pull even with my auto tranny?

(couple questions really, thank you all who post for helping out) :talon:

go the awd route .. the low end will only be there if you hvae a smaller turbo .. ie t -25 . When you get into the 16g range and the turbo kicks in . Its a huge diff . It is not worth the money to mod the car or make it a manual .IMO . get a diff car . youll thank me later

it's just rough. . . cuz this car has become my baby. but if a new one gets me what i want. . . im sure she'll be quickly forgotten and replaced.

so tsi/gsx manual? even if i have to rebuild it. . . hmmmm. . . any good sites for getting my hands on a stock tsi/gsx?

ok, couple questions then. . . (again)

#1. how much would this run me, for a new one? or does it entirely depend on what shape it's in?

and 2. is there anything i can do to mine now to add some more low end torque that isn't going to be frighteningly pricey?
