That Civic was nasty. He would have won the whole thing if he hadn't broke his trans. But that's racing.

It's ok guys, you can always watch videos of the Red Demon if you want to see a DSM win a race. :D

Yep, though streetability is questionable haha
The race had about as much self-proclaimed reason behind it as the civic vs top fuel.
Given how close she came says more about the talon and the driver than any of the others, though.
However the dude with the dubs had some balls

I haven’t seen the episode but what I’m reading here I’ll probably pass on it. I’d definitely be going crazy seeing that 1G out front then seeing a full on 1300+ hp drag car Civic steam roll right past it! I don’t think my blood pressure or fits of rage could handle it :banghead: :f-u:! Like you guys have said, the whole premise of the show is a street car pulling up next to a super car and having a straight up race. Headlights taillights blinkers and yes, a freaking alternator! If you can’t drive the car to a gas station, pump gas then crank the car again then by no means is that a street car. Even a super car owner is smart enough to know that LOL

I was doing the EXACT same thing. I was literally yelling at the TV rooting the 1G on and then saw the Civic come around and was so bummed. This season has been all about DRAG cars, not sleepers. Show has so much potential but was a let down. Hyperdrive on Netflix is a really fun skills show to watch though for those that have not checked it out.

I was wondering if she upgraded from the fp black? In the episode they talked about the “new turbo” but didn’t specify, I knew that car from the “joe wrenches” video clips and knew it was fast, I honestly thought she’d have it in the bag LOL, didn’t realize the civic had that much power tho, but it was still awesome seeing it on the show and perform AWESOME none the less:hellyeah:

Just to chime in about the show as a whole...

As a car person, I wish they get a lot more technical about the cars, parts, etc. But, I don't think the show sucks. I actually really like that you learn a lot about the people, where they came from, the background and what motivated them toward that car. I discovered it last season and have enjoyed it. Personally, I think its better than all the other drama-filled build shows gotta meet this dead-line versions that are on other channels.

I loved seeing the Colt last season and the 1G this season. 2 seasons, 2 4g63's. Not too bad.
I do agree that closing out last season on the sand was dumb.

I have to agree with you BLACK'98DSM! Red Demon, the 6 second 1/4 mile, 5 speed Eagle Talon TSi AWD will have you considering a home equity loan to spruce up YOUR own ride, well, at least it's that way for me. Two (2) seasons and 2 4G63T engines say it loud and clear - we are blessed with some of the sturdiest in line 4s from an era when there was plenty of research and development money to build, test, perfect, test, redesign or continue perfecting. The show is "okay" but I much rather watching Eclipses and Talons racing and from time to time, Ken Block, especially in his 1400hp, twin-turbo, AWD Mustang climbing Pikes Peak to 14115 elevation!

I have watched both seasons. The show is kinda meh but a lot of the people they have on it are decent and the cars mostly are built well. That civic is a straight monster that has gone 7's. I have seen videos of it before the show and knew when I saw it adrianas car was doomed. Still very impressive the numbers it has done though with bolt on frame turbo.

For the love of god, they had the "dunk" guy or whatever it was called racing on 25" wheels or something. What a joke. There are just too many options nowadays for me to sit down and watch something that silly.

Well, I know the guy with the hatch personally, not a friend, but I do know who he is and have seen that car progress over the years from all motor B series to 1000whp B series, to 1000whp K series, then finally 1100whp AWD. I don't think the car makes 1300 though, I've seen the car get tuned personally and I think it's highest is 1147awhp if I'm not mistaken. Either way, yes, that Honda is a lot less streetable than what Tom and Adriana's 1G seems to be. I saw the Honda personally go 7.7x at I believe it was 177MPH? at PBIR a while back. Regardless, it's super fast and if I knew that the 1G was a high 8-second car when I was watching the show, the winner was clear. It's not if the Honda would catch it, it was more of how soon it would catch it. Either way, not defending the Honda, I'm a DSM guy at heart and boy was I excited cause I really thought the 1G had the win :(

But yes, the show is crap for the most part. I usually see the intro where they show a little bit about each person/car, then I fast forward to the race haha.

I have a met a few of the people on the show over the last two seasons personally. Most are decent and know there cars, but its a tv show so drama has to happen and the masses don't care about specs. I actually for season 2 entered my Cummins but it didn't get picked. Truck did 1083whp and trapped 120mph+ but is what it is LOL.

Ah well, that's not too bad. Still plenty of feelings to hurt with a DSM ;)
