Alright, I've been searching to come up with some ideas but I figured posting a thread would help me get more direct answers.

I ordered a JMF Race Intake Manifold for a 2g head and flanged for a 1g throttle body. It just came in today.

I also have an Outlaw intake manifold spacer full on installation kit that i plan to install as well. The kit comes with one paper gasket. I saw a guy on here who said he did away with the paper gasket and got two of the stock gaskets to mash on both sides. Then I've also been told there is no need for any more than the paper gasket and it will seal just fine. Ive seen a lot of different opinions on this. So any recommendations? I also plan to block off the egr port with an 1/8npt fitting.

My next thing is the pcv valve. I have a catch can (not the best but it will do until i get ready to spend good money on a proper setup) Since i'm getting the SMIM i plan to just do something similar to what Calan did in one of his pcv posts. Minus using the pcv valve. I'm going to take my junk pcv and cut the snorkel off, jb weld the it into an 1/8npt fitting. and adapt it to a 6AN fitting which will run to the other nipple on my catch can. Sound okay? The catch can is vented with a breather filter on top.
I guess it's either that, or I keep the pcv valve and run a hose from a nipple on the back of the manifold to the pcv, which wouldn't be very pretty.

I'm not familiar with the Outlaw intake manifold spacer, is it similar to the Magnus heat barrier gasket/spacer?
Magnus Motorsports Magnus Heat Barrier Gasket

If it's similar to the Magnus one, you don't need to use anything additional to seal the intake manifold to the head. They're reusable too so you never have to worry about picking up another gasket or gasket maker each time you remove the intake manifold.

You can use a paper gasket, personally I don't like them, but that's just a matter of preference. I prefer using Permatex RTV gasket maker. You can find them at most auto stores (Pep Boys, Autozone, Napa, etc.).

Yes it is similar. I just dont know whether I should trust the paper gasket to be honest. I've heard of people using may different methods to ensure a good seal and so far all has worked, that I know of.
