need opinions

ok im proud to say i recently bought my 2nd DSM a 1990 eagle talon tsi awd for $800. i need to replace the clutch, my question is, should i pull the motor or drop the tranny because im also going to change the timing belt, water pump, head gasket etc. any help or input would be great

i would say yeah, its not that hard to pull the engine, and pulling it would make it easyer. and while your at it do the balancer shaft removal too. heres the link http://vfaq.com/mods/balance-shafts.html and here is the timing belt http://vfaq.com/mods/timingbelt-1G.html, and for the clutch http://vfaq.com/mods/clutch-1G.html . hope this helps

Congratulations mitsufun!!

I would leave the engine in, unless your going to bore the block. If you have a nice shop to work in and have the room then by all means pull it out.
