This is my first time working on a car so just bare with me. I just started my rebuild on my 1996 Eclipse RS. I ordered Tokico Shocks, Ground Control Coilovers and a Energy Suspension Bushing Kit. The store i ordered the parts from told me the Ground Control Coilovers were on back order and they went ahead and ordered me Skunk 2 Coilovers at no extra cost. The thing is i started taking off the drums to sand blast them and i took off the rear drums and started sand blasting them. Later on that night i was reading the instructions to the skunk 2 coilovers and the instructions tell you how to install them on koni shocks. Is there anybody out there that knows how to make my coilover to fit my shocks? Need everybody's opinion's both good and bad.

Sort of like ordering a Boxter and getting an MR2 "at no extra cost."

To answer your question: you can sit the new perches on top of the old ones (easy but ugly) or cut the perches off the new shocks, leaving just a ring for the new perches to sit on. Another advantage of Konis (other than being a much better shock) is the perch slides on and off.
