Well here is the situation: I am buying A LOT of parts to put onto my 1990 GSX and have discovered that the last owner just replaced the ECU in 7/2002. The problem is this:

The car is a cali. car and thus has a California ECU. Will I have tuning problems and can I change the ECU out for a 90 EPROM non-cali ECU??? I have the ECUs part number (md145902) and do not know if it is an EPROM ECU or not, but am more worried about the fact it is a California ECU.

Any tech info. would be seriously appreciated here.

Thanks guys.

Well I took the ECU out of the car, and it IS in fact an EPROM so I suppose that is good. Now I need to figure out if the fact that it is a Cali car is bad in anyway, or what I can do to eliminate the emissions stuff on the car and have a chip. Thanks for the response by the way, I will read that.

Thanks again.:thumb:

Thank you.
I see that I just need to put a 1K resistor in the R129 spot.

Sounds good!
