Anyone noticed how the "GSX" isnt a GSX but more like a GST? I brought this up on another forum and many people felt the same way. I mean, why would a GSX have such horrible torque steer, low acceleration, and low handling? Not to mention that the wheels are that of a GST, not a GSX. Just my opinion. This game is great though and I am only on race 35 with my little old Miata. I am sure it only gets better.

about the torque steer, i think what it is, is that all 4 tires light up and it kinda looses control, cuz all the awd cars launch like that.

my best for drag so far is 22.66 with my skyline. i could prolly run a tad faster depending on when i use my naaaawwwzzzz :laugh:

Best drag time of mine is 21.84 on 14th & Vine Construction, start using teh bottle in 3rd gear and keep tapping the button for it(uses less and pushes you just as fast).

For those of you that haven't finished the game yet, MAKE SURE YOU SAVE AT RACE 111 or 112 before winning the very last race. If not, you'll be stuck with whatever car you beat the game with and will not be able to change the visuals/mods anymore. Once you save at 112(like I did), that is the last mod, and you can still trade it in for another car and keep the unique mods. If you take a car and customize it out of Underground mode, it won't have the unique mods and will be slightly slower, so do yourself a favor and save at 112 so you can trade-in on other cars and keep the unique mods which give you an advantage even in online play.

Beat my best, 21.60 now in multiplayer mode. Too bad I was racing a bunch of newbies with 100 rep.

so close! but at least i broke into the 21's. got it in my STOCK-looking s2000. i really wish that the game would also record your trap speed along with the time.

I'm just curious, when you play online, are most of the cars seriously riced out with body modifications or are there a lot of cars that look stock on the outside? I would definitely be tempted to make it look stock and put all the money into handling and power.

you can, you have to go to statistics after the race is over, my 21.37 trapped at 223mph

Yep teh 300lb lighter GS-T will totally handle worse than someting carrying an extra 50% of drivetrain with the same power ..

Im taking my time with this sim Wow some of you are compulsive to have finished this so soon. Takes away the fun imo playing so long one sitting imhO/

S2000 makes a great car for drag, only car I can hit 20s with. Spray owns it's 2nd and 3rd gears, and as long as you get outta the hole good you're pretty much gauranteed 20s/low 21s. The other cars are hard to keep the revs steady for launching, if you launch with a green circle you get a kind of boost off the line(I didn't realize this til sometime yesterday). Ah well, definately one of the best games I've ever played, I don't see myself losing interest any time soon.

fun game yuo say its playable online but i dotn see no xbox live enabled logos on box. i like the end of the game where he wins the last race and hes staring at the girl melissa and then that dumb samantha chick is liek is that your fantasy then he wakes up and people are pounding on his car screaming. i would have beat their asses for hitting my car! all in all a fun game i like drag the best everythnig else just isnt that cool. i love how all the awd vehicles have torque steer though. i guess ea hired the wrong technical advisor. o yea is the soundtrack for sale anywhere?

yes, to net the best times you use nitrous from the shift into second and tap it instead of holding it, using it bottom end gets those rpm's up alot quicker

Yes Yes, PS2 owners can play PC owners online and vice versa. No XBOX online capability.

but i dont understand why my car is always rated better than the cars i unlock, kinda makes it pointless to unloock new cars eh

or maybe its a glitch, sense i have the downloaded version, plus my vinyl doesnt work on the game either

i would buy it, but its not online for xbox, so screw it

Kinda stupid but kinda cool, anyone else notice that in drag mode, you can purge the NAWS for some style points.

holy shit this game is hard...I'm at 85 and it is almost impossible to win these damn races. When I first started playing I had no problem beating S2K's and WRX's with a little Civic. Now I'm getting beat by riced out damn Lancers (not Evos, although it's a game so it doesn't have to make sense) and that Peugot 206 car. Bah anyways here's my Rx7, the rims aren't all that great but those are the best I can put on so far, all the other rims are waaay to big for my taste...and ugly.
