need boost controller?

i just bought the evo 16g for my 95 gsx. i bought the install kit and turbo i have yet to buy a boost controller. it has an internal waste gate on it. can i run that turbo on my car without a controller on it for a while until i get around to purchasing one? or will taht hurt me? i have stock fuel system and internals. let me know guys thanks!

If you run a pressure source straight to the wastegate it will open at whatever it is set at (probably 10psi)

Or you could hook up the stock BCS and let it do the job.
