My current boost controller really stinks. It is a manual one and it seems like every time the temperature outside changes just a tad my boost changes immensly. Are there any manual boost controllers out there that are more accurate? Do I have to go to a electronic one to get what I want? Thanks.

this is normal.

what boost controller do u have? i have the joe p and it works great. although when there are big changes in temperature, like when it gets really cold my car will boost more due to the denser air. i think no matter what boost controller u choose this will happen just not as extreme the better the boost controller u have. as for buying a ebc im not really sure if u will see these problems at all. but like i said i have a $45.00 joe p mbc and i have no complaints whatsoever. someday i will upgrade to a EBC. :D

how would a ebc be an upgrade and whats the point.

are you ok? EBC has so many more functions, has peak hold and all that good shit, not to mention it looks good.

joe p boost controller is so homedepot its sick.

ummm........ joe p was rated one of the best mbc's available about 1 year ago. i know plenty of dsm'ers that have/had that MBC.

What's the difference of the Profec A and Profec B? I've seen plenty for sale, but I'm just not sure of the difference.

Zip tie it to the thermostat housing (where mine is) or the radiator. As long as the car is warmed up, the boost controller will be warmed up as well and at a constant temperature.

Mine never changes even half a pound whether it is 0 or 105 out.

just goes to show how sweet homedepot it.

well just to list a few, you can have multiple boost settings, u can set the boost by gear, rpm, and or speed you can set a scramble boost, all settings are adjustable from inside the car. some are more complicated than that. depends which one you get and or what you are willing to spend.

Just because it can do something, does not mean that it is good. I know I would not use most or all of those features.

Where do you have your boost source hooked up to? If it's not hooked up to the manifold, do it now.

What MBC is it?

I think the best contoler out there is the joep ZX E-MBC, i got the MBC for now but i plan on upgrading to the E-MBC.

changing boost on the fly without making proper fuel adjustments rules!

u asked what the advantages were, thats what I typed. you really need to do some more reading before you act like a dick. then tell me that I need to makefuel adjustments to to change my boost to a lower setting. just curious but, your not drivign at full boost all the time right? so using your theory I would have to be adjusting my fuel trims with the dsmlink constantly. that wouldnt give me much time for driving now would it. but wait that only give me control of the fuel curve at wot so that doesnt do me any good either. oh darn what am I to do.

kpt your right, I dont use half the features on mine. I wanted one that I could adjust from inside the car and have multiple boost settings. had I had a fwd the boost by gear or rpm might have been usefull

HA!

dsmturboawd, I'm sorry man, but you just got owned.

With a proper fuel management system, you should not have to make any changes in fuel delivery for smaller (1-4psi) changes in boost. This applies even more if you already tuned for multiple boost levels.

no.

get whatever boost controller you want. Dont let someone else on these forums change your mind or make you get a different one just because thats the one they think is the best.

Why does everyone have to prove stuff to other people on this forum. its so NoObish.
