I have a 1g 1992 eagle talon fwd it has a 4g63 non turbo standard and I cant get my rpms over about 3500. I've already replaced the fuel pump, maf sensor, tps, and sparkplugs. Any information on what could be wrong would be greatly appreciated

When I'm driving it. It will start sputtering and jumping at about 3500. Theres almost 200,000 on it and the check engine light is on but I'm not sure what type of code reader it takes or where it is to check it.

I did look for the code reader on here but what I got was wrong or at least not accurate

Start with a profile.
Did you just get this car?
Was it running correctly?
Did you make any changes or repairs?
Does it idle?
Lastly please stop throwing parts at it. Its expensive and not necessary. Diagnose the root cause. We will help you. Start with the code.

I got the car about August last year and it ran fine for a little bit I think it wouldnt go over 4000 rpms and it has an idle surge then one day it lost power. I was looking things up trying to diagnose it with some people I know and tryed that but it didn't work. The only things I replaced is what i said in my original post.

Start what a boost leak test and checking if idle position switch is connected.
He's NA. I would suspect ignition parts if I was just guessing but hopefully he will be able to pull the codes and we can be a lot more help with those.

RPMs capped at 3.5k is indicative of the engine being in limp home mode. Usually the most common triggers for this are: Bad crankshaft position sensor or a bad camshaft position sensor. I strongly suggest looking at those two first. From personal experience, I have had both go bad and put my car in that state.

Thank you but this is no longer relevant as my transmission is broken. However if anyone knows where I can get a fairly cheap tranny I would appreciate the input
