Some of you may know I've been into the car audio scene for a while now and I've done a few pretty loud and elaborate installs. Well I just completed my most extensive install to date, and its in my Ram.

For this install the goal was simple, to get the truck loud as fawk and look good doing it. If you know anything about trucks, its pretty difficult to get them loud and basically it requires balls to do it. There's pretty much 2 options to getting a truck loud. Wall it off or cut the bi***. I wasn't willing to lose my rear seats so I decided on option b.

I'll stop babbling on and let the pics and descriptions do the talking.

First up the new head unit. Eclipse 7200mkii. Copper Chassis, 8v preouts, dead head (no built in amp), features up the ass for folks like me .

Front battery and wiring. Deka 9a31 deep cycle. Wiring is all Knu Konceptz Kollosus Fleks 1/0. There's 120ft. of this wire in the truck.

I fully solder and heat shrink all my connections. IMO it looks very professional.

Alternator is a DC Power 270xp. Does 180amp at idle and 270amps at 1200 rpm. I plan on adding a 2nd alternator later.

Subs are RD Audio HW 18's. 3500 watt RMS, they are pretty gnarly.

Sub amp is a RD Audio D9. Dual 1/0 inputs and outputs. Puts out about 6k watts at .5 ohm.

Interior speakers amp is a Rockford Fosgate P400-4.

Pioneer 6.5" components in the front doors, Infinity 3.5"s in the dash.

Rear seats folded down. I had to flip the seat brackets on back wall to be able to fold the seats down or up, and they still lock. Its much louder with them folded down.

This would be neat to get in to if I had a worthy vehicle. I don't fancy cutting up my Ram and I'd never put something like that in the GST. Now if only there was a smaller, stealthier idea for the Ram.

I like systems with a lot of treble. Of course music needs bass to sound right but I'm more of a rock n roll guy. Either way, audio is a lot more complicated than most people realize, so props.

Coming from someone who does this professionally daily, excellent build. I just finished up an Altima with two 10" DC's and same D9 amp you have. Kinetic 1200 up front and a Kinetic 2200 in the rear, with a Mechman 250 amp alt. That shizzle sounded brutal. Props on your build, looks very well thought and laid out.

Thanks very much. I've been trying to find a job somewhere where I can start doing this for a living but its pretty difficult in my area. It's what I love to do and I'm pretty good at it.
