I ordered a new set of rockers and have the girdle so a few days and all should be buttoned up on the roller motor. It will be the first engine to go on the run in stand. Video of that for sure!

Just pictures of the 350 Roller Motor. :)
If I'm not too busy with family, I could have it buttoned up any day.
It won't be long!

Well I pulled into the driveway today and a Big Brown Truck followed me.
I personally took possession of the cute little thing (55 lbs or so).
8884 Precision T5 with a 1.08 AR hotside. This dam thing can EAT my Holset HX40.
A GREAT BIG Thank You to Cleetus McFarland and the Freedom Factory!!!!

I have been busy ordering replacement parts for my farm cart, the TAOTAO Targa 200 twin seat buggy. Since I goofed up a couple lights, I decided to COMPLETELY modernize the lights for better lighting and better looks. I have all LED Headlights, taillights, backup lights and turn signals (Still have to wire those in).
It will be such an upgrade from what it has, that I think are FUGLY. The originals are round and I like rectangles!

I "test" wired my turnsignals for the cart last night on my kitchen table and I like them. They are all LED so I will need to turn the flash down slower, which I can do with the adjustable flasher that I bought. Now to wire it all in.....I am thinking of putting 2 green LED's on the dash to remind me the blinkers are on (I have a drawer full of different color 12v LED bulbs). It will be interesting and more modern for years to come. I enjoy "tinkering" on things like this.
Marty

Just an update on the Targa 200 gocart. DRL's, Backup Lights, Turn Signals, Brake Lights and new Headlights and Floodlights coming in the next update very soon.
I had 1 video of it and it is over on Instagram HERE.
More fun to come so thanks for watching and of course, "Stay Tuned"!!!
Marty

The son and I took a little drive at dark to test the new lighting on the Targa 200 side by side and boy, they are nice. Click HERE to take you over to the Instagram post of us testing them. I know its not a DSM but it is a hell of alot cheaper than my other "TOYS" are! ROFL

Well, it's test and tune night at the closest drag strip, (MoKan in Asbury Mo) which is an hour and 15 minutes away. We're going to take the 1986 Z28 with the 400 small block in it and see if she can cut a 12.999 quarter mile. Results will be posted! :thumb:
She ran 13.4 the last time she was over there with a carburetor and regular ignition. She is now sporting a holly sniper setup and seems to be more responsive, so we're going to find out!

Good luck Marty!

Well we didn't run faster or slower. Track prep was a little lacking and the car was spinning but usually doesn't. The track didn't prep like they normally do since they didn't have a Bracket race today. We ran 13.5 all night and I think he got 6 runs in. I say EFI may be more responsive and better in fuel economy but no better than my old carb and Accel Distributor setup. His cold air box did work VERY WELL. Without it, intake temps were around 120 but when he put the plumbing back on and routed to the cold air box, IATs were a nice 75ish. It was all hand fabricated by my son and looks and works really good!
It was a FUN NIGHT! :thumb:
Fun facts - This car cost me $1.00
Motor - 375.00 (then I rebuilt it)
Holley Sniper Setup - $2000
Pops ;)

Last run of the night at MoKan.
He had a Bye run this time. You can tell the track wasn't prepped like it usually is but it was still cheap ($20) fun! Hope that you all get a chance to do the same thing! :thumb:

Well I added a new shop tool to the "TOYS" for pushing/towing and general mayhem on the farm. It was bought from a my best friend in the town I work in and it has ended up being so nice (don't look at the zip ties).

Have a look, probably more to come. It's a Polaris Sprotsman 500 HO. New battery, suspension, starter, bendix, cover, carburetor, tool box and I am sure there is more. It just needed some attention so my son and I gave it that. It will be super helpful pushing dead cars into the shop or around the farm. Everything but the lighting is working and I will be upgrading the lighting when the time is right to all LED.
Here is my son test driving it after a successful carburetor replacement/adjustments and anything else we found needing attention.
A big thanks to the Polaris web group for their help!
Marty

Came across a couple pictures from the 80s and my vehicles back then, after the V8 Vega, 1970 Chevelle SS and 1971 Camaro SS.
I'll try to find a picture of all 3 of those from the 70s.
Man, that's ALONG TIME AGO.
It is my '87 IROC-Z Convertible and my '75 Chevy Blazer. Such fun vehicles from the WAYBACK MACHINE, ROFL

Yeah, 35 dam years ago Pat. I used to HAVE HAIR. I still do but not alot. I was probably 25. ROFL
Nobody EVER takes pictures of me and the grandkids or just me, I am always the one taking the shots! :)

Ok, I found more WAYBACK pictures that I had been looking for.
1971 Camaro SS 350, 2 600 Holleys, Comp Cam, 10:1 with 3:73's. Ran 13.2's in street trim.
1970 Chevelle SS - 350, 4 speed, 4:11's. Never had her to the track. A friend of mine got talked into "buying" it from me because a local rail dragster wanted the motor. She would scream above 4k to 8k. I traded my 56 Chevy 2 door Hardtop body for the Chevelle Body. That was a sneaky way to get my motor.
1973 V8 Vega GT - Corvette 327, 11:1's, 4 speed, 4:56's. Ran 12.82 and got me to the finals. I broke out in the finals, running faster than my dial in. I was young and dumb. I could have coasted across the line I was winning so good. DAM, missed the only trophy I don't have!
1956 Chevy Bel Air 2 door Hardtop - 283, 4 speed, 3:70's. Fun but never made it to the track. I bought it with the motor and trans in the trunk!
1976 Chevy Nova "Spirit of 76" Edition. This came out with a 6 cylinder, 350 turbo trans. I pulled my brothers motor and stuck a SBC in it. He was happy! 😊❤️ RIP little brother!
Big Brother Marty ❤️
