I just got it 2 weeks ago. Its a 97 GSX. Let me know what you all think. Havn't really done much to it yet. I'll probably either get new rims cause i dont like them much or paint them bronze. It needs paint bad. Mods on it are in my profile. haha..

any pic of the inside. how many miles? and it looks good i got mine tsi 97 for 3950. with 110 but my pain is so much worst

Ill get some pics of the inside up soon. Im in the process of painting the oem tan interior black. The car had 118,000 miles

when you begin playing with higher boost, i suggest you remove the breather from the valve cover and just run a hose going down the engine. otherwise you would have oil all over the engine... just my 0.02

im pretty sure they are the regular bulbs. its just that when i took that pic i turned off the flash and left the shutter speed open a little bit longer to let more light into the pic hahaha

No, you are correct in routing it back to the intake. Just get yourself a catch can or fuel filter to put inline with it also.

if you want oil going into your intake then you can route it that way, for a environment friendly route you can buy a catch can, or if you are like me just leading towards the ground.

If he was like you he'd be sucking unfiltered air through his crankcase.

Hook the line up to a filtered source as I and others have suggested.

Although it will 'work' like that, it is not the proper way to vent crankcase pressure. However, this topic has been beaten to death, and if he wants to learn everything possible about it visit this thread:

I took some pics of the interior today. haha i painted the passenger side door panel the other day and i ran out of paint to do the driver side. I'm planning on painting all the tan parts black. I'm Also not a fan of seat covers but they're Mitsubishi seat covers so their not bad. They cover up the nasty seats .. i took the covers off one day to see what they look like.. man are they bad. anyways. hope you guys like. I plan on buying different seats sometime in the future as well..

haha thanks! im glad you like it. 5speed makes it fun the last button is just where the guy before me put in a security light. not really a button haha

Great looking car. Be careful when painting those plastics. You have to do a ton or prep work to keep it that way and not have it flake off or wear away over a few months. What process are you using to do it?

yeah i know what you mean. I'm probably going to have to re do the passenger side door panel and the hatch parts as well because i only used one coat of dupli color interior paint. for the rest i will probably sand down the parts slightly with 2000 grit, Wipe clean with alcohol, and do 2 or 3 coats of paint. it took one whole can just for that door panel last time so im going to need to buy a lot more paint. I'm thinking maybe a clear coat also but i don't know if i should or not.

You should clear it if you want the color to stay. In my experience painting the plastics is more of a PITA then it's worth in the end. It's hard to get them to stay the same color with all the wear and tear on them.

yeah i havnt thought about the carpet yet. How does RIT dye look? good outcome? i was thinking either dye it or get new black carpet and just cut it out... I want to change my headliner out as well.. dont know how im going to go about doing that yet either.

I did it once and didn't turn out the best but it was my first time. I would just buy a new OEM carpet. I have seen them online for decent prices. The headliner is easy as long as you have someone to help you stretch it and hold it. You can just reupholster it with black or whatever color you want but make sure you use just the right amount of glue. Too much and it'll seap through, too little and it will start to fall.
