I just got it 2 weeks ago. Its a 97 GSX. Let me know what you all think. Havn't really done much to it yet. I'll probably either get new rims cause i dont like them much or paint them bronze. It needs paint bad. Mods on it are in my profile. haha.. :)

The vented comment refers to the picture showing your bypass/blow-off valve venting to atmosphere, yet you're using a stock MAF sensor in the stock location (pre-turbo). This doesn't really work well, generally speaking, as the system wasn't designed to run in that configuration. You should re-route your blow-off valve back into the intake or risk drivability issues.

Thanks for the info! I assume there is a thread somewhere on how to do this? haha any other flaws in there you guys see that i can work on? i love doing little projects :p

There should also be a vacuum line from the nipple where that little air filter is on your valve cover to the intake pipe(pipe between big air filter and turbo), there should be a nipple on it.

recirculate that bov. not bad though, the pictures in the dark did a good job hiding the oxidizing paint :p

engine bay looks very clean, "looks" to be reliable, thats the important part :) it's up to you to keep it that way.

ohh okay i get what your saying. Thanks for the input guys. i'll probably relocate the bov this weekend... or once i find where to get a tube like that..

yeah i took those pics in the dark on purpose to hide the crappy paint hahaha its pretty bad in person..

are you just gonna repaint it black?
about those rims if you end up wanting to sell them let me know!

yeah i like black so im most likely going to repaint it black again. I'll let you know if I decide to sell the rims. i might do them bronze like so.. heres a photoshop.. LOL

Thanks guys. I'm glad you all like it :D probably gonna be using dupli color wheel paint to paint the rims. Seems to be close to what I want them to look like from the pics of seen of people that have used it.

Definitely remove that breather from the crankcase vent on the valve cover, and reconnect the line to the stock intake. Even better would be an inline catch can or a filter to still allow the airflow into the crankcase but not let the oil into the intake.

Sweet, dont let the paint get to you i have black paint an i hate it cause it shows every scratch but all in good time man nice car.

Will do :thumb: thanks. I Pulled the bov out the other day and i saw a layer oil around inside the pipe. is that normal?

Nice GSX. I wish I found a clean black one before I got my GST. Those rims are nice. What kind are they?

The rims are... Nex-O ? ive never seen them before until now LOL

How much did it cost?

The asking price was 7k i got it for 6

when you begin playing with higher boost, i suggest you remove the breather from the valve cover and just run a hose going down the engine. otherwise you would have oil all over the engine... just my 0.02
