Last pics from my dsm in one piece. some renovating begun..
Day one: rear body parts& muffler is down.. and the interior is out..
Day two: fuel tank & rear brakes down..
Day three: rear suspensio...fuuuuck..
electric impact wrench and 800newtonmeters, broken the trailing arm bolts both.
I had only one choice: cut the suspension bolts between the body and the trailing arm's bushing.
day four: I welded a washer then a 19mm nut to the trailing arm bolt's stump.. then the cutted bolts slowly comes out about 1-1,5hours/side..
...and after. okey okey i know the result is ugly ASF..
But who can weld better the 30+yrs old metals under the car over your head in a tight space at your front yard?
I'm in a dilemma..
i have a set of sideskirts from a Talon TSi..
put back the old little Eclipse sideskirt, or paint and use the large TSi sideskirt? I can't choose yet..
Just stumbled upon this, I too have a GS that I converted, and now ironically am converting back in a different manner 52 turbo set ups later. In my opinion I always was a fan of the 1ga side skirts. Less common makes it stand out a bit and you see far more 1ga Talons than Eclipse’s. However it comes down to taste, if you like the Talon ones better by all means roll with them.
