Got the coil plate bolted down and wires secured in place with the ti hardware

Also added to the purple theme I’ve been adding with this go around with this jm fab oil cap.

So I had an issue with my new injector tester where it was giving me a false reading so I thought my injectors were bad ( should’ve inspected it better before making my next move 🤦🏽‍♂️)

I found a damn good deal on a set of injectors and another part I’ve been eyeing so I just bought it all

now to try and find a 300m t case that isn’t outrageous LOL.

So the fic 2150s needed cleaned and I’ve got new seals for them. I now have two sets of injectors

These will probably come in handy with the aluminum rod motor so gonna send my old set to fid to get a health check and make sure it was just the fluke of my machine.

Also picked this kit up from my buddy that came up with this idea since the auto half shaft bracket is so hard to find

04E8F30B-DDFB-4C0A-8A4B-F9E9B9B4B06B.jpeg

With this kit you can use a 5spd half shaft bracket on your auto swap. I’m running the 5spd bracket on my car just with a stack of bolts to push it out there it needs to go.

Next thing I’m gonna try to do today is toss injectors back in and fill the cooling system up. Maybe try setting the fueltech up and possibly firing the car up.

Big update:

Not sure where to begin LOL. So after fighting my old dsmlink tablet not liking the fueltech drivers to read the ecu I had to buy a laptop.

Had an issue with the intake position because of my new water neck. Had to get another fitting for my catch can line

This helped clear the shift cable.

Also got some new goodies from the wife for our anniversary

So fast forward a little. Got the laptop in got a basemap from the tuner and get it loaded up. Car fired up!!!
Had an issue with the tps constantly reading 100% so had to dive into that

Wire broke off in the bulkhead connector

Then took some time in the evening to get some new stickers on the back window LOL

I also have the dash back in the car as well

Couldn’t help but get a pic of it all lit up as well.

Idles tuning has been done. I’ve got to finish bleeding the cooling system, check timing and it’s ready to take for a test drive and start tuning.

Hell yea dude can’t wait to see it out!! You guys gunna make the shootout this year??

So weekend update time:
Working on getting the 2g vss and fueltech to talk to each other so the trans will shift. First attempt in fixing it ended with me breaking the plug 🤦🏽‍♂️. So ordered a pigtail to splice in and make life easier

9E987BF6-32EF-426F-9960-5E95053F1D5C.jpeg

Another issue I have is that I don’t having a timing point since I’m not running a timing cover on the car. Rix racing solved that issue

70C0726A-C392-4EE3-B0F1-715B7278155D.jpeg

Another issue I noticed was that I couldn’t get the power window to work. I came across a hell of a deal on manual window regulators and mirrors so was an easy Sho I’ve to make the swap
5781BA9F-8D18-4BB5-B41C-53F809A4FDFD.jpeg

Spent today getting them installed on the car
358F9205-25A2-4D64-AA9A-B44D2E169E29.jpeg

Out with the old

9AE24726-20E1-4C94-B05D-C45AA4055334.jpeg

The heavier power stuff out of the car

33526788-0B13-4261-99E6-72ADAA28C66B.jpeg

And in with the manual stuff.

Second test drive in the car was a pretty good success. Only thing I’m noticing is the car got up to 190* which isn’t bad but was hoping that it would run cooler now that I don’t have a thermostat and the evospec pulley. May have to put a restrictor in line to slow the coolant down.

So next thing to do now is got to check timing with the fueltech and it’s time to start tuning. I’ll make changes to the cooling system if it poses a problem while tuning.

Also got word that my vamos catch pan is ready so I’ll be going to pick it up next weekend.

Update:

So I noticed a noise that sounded like a knock on startup. My first thought was the flexplate bolts came loose again. Ordered arp bolts to maybe swap out

236DA5DB-2424-4B7F-88B4-BDEC658B38D2.jpeg

Got the car jacked up and tcase pulled off. Only to find that I was right… but they were a lot worse off than I thought

Flexplate is pretty well smoked… But the show must go on.

New parts are on order so I can address this issue and keep moving.

On a positive note I did get something installed and picked up another measure of safety.

E3BED699-8D60-4558-BF76-FF70070E68A2.jpeg

Evospec servo delete plate installed.

2B0D6A2C-69D6-4E79-8537-6FABF597ADCA.jpeg

Also picked up a vamos design catch pan that he just released for the 1g.

Will post more when parts show up and I get the trans dropped out.

Mid week parts update:

So I ordered a bunch of stuff to keep things moving on the car. Got material for the door cards and tools to run through the converter threads to clean them up.

Also snagged some cardboard to make a template to make the door cards.

B06509B0-5F25-4B1C-8B00-82094A09CA25.jpeg

More work to be done on these and then to yes fit to see if I need to trim any lt ore.

0208E71A-B468-4062-BCC7-3B195620DDA2.jpeg

Flexplate, diamond shim, and new bolts showed up.

4EAC9661-6716-41B8-90A3-675017E47DC0.jpeg

Thread chaser set showed up as well to run into the converter.

Might try to pull the trans this weekend. Just have to see if the weather will cooperate with me.
