Well I did my first attempt at polishing something. It turned out to be my compressor housing of my new AGP T3/T4 kit.

The reason I did it is becasue I am cheap prick and wanted to save 75 bux on letting them do it.

I am sure all of you know how rought cast is. Well I started at 220 and worked my way up by hand.

In hind sight... was it worht doing it yourself?... HELL NO!!!!
Is it worht 75 bux to let the company do it???? YES, EVERY PENNY :)

Well I guess that you learn't that being cheap all the time is always the best. It looks awsome though, just like a company did it. Good work:thumb: :thumb:

Thanx man... And to give you an idea of what it looked like before, look at the end of the compressor out-let. I left it cast in order for the silicon elbow to have more bite...

I think I took like 3 hours on my heat shield and it didn't even come close to looking like that. But of course that was using a dremel. I think I'm going to have to take some extra time to get the "mirror" like effect on it. (But that is kinda hard when it is pitted with rust spots. My car wasn't taken care of very well.)

just kidding ED:p i like it i hope you get all of your stuff put on this weekend even if you dont have a lot of extra help.

ps. willsdsm is my normal name

For someone who was an amateur when he started this job, it came out really great.
Now, if you take it apart and take that snail to a chrome shop, they'd put a finishing polish on it that'd look plated, and for only a few bucks....

Betcha it don't take 12 hours to install it!

How come you didnt just use an electric drill? I heard somewhere that you could use one cant you? Looks damn good tho.

looks hella sweet ed. did you refer to a website on how to polish it?

It's _really_ tough to get an even finish with a power buffer on a shape like that, unless you've done it a lot. You tend to get a wavy finish from an inevitable uneveness in the process.

Couldnt you just do the primary stuff with the drill, then sand down all the fine stuff to a nice finish by hand?
