So after owning 5 awd platforms, I've obtained a fwd version that's in not so great of shape. The interior has been removed but all the pieces were stuffed in the car when I got it. I won't be needing any of it as this will be a test and tune platform Hp wise. Once I get this engine and supporting mods to a yet to be determined HP level, i'll be selling the roller and moving back to an awd. That being said, this is where I'm at.

I've started removing all the unnecessary options and pieces. Such as the ac, power options and so forth. I'm in the process of removing the 6 bolt for tear down and machine work

As it sits now with some useless stuff removed.

Ok so I knew the car had been wrecked in the front but, was told it was a light impact and only minor repairs. I didn't look the car over that well when I purchased it as I never planned on keeping it. When I rolled under her today to remove the exhaust I saw that the to frame rails are bent in an upward position. I say frame rails because I'm not sure what they are called.

Is it possible for someone to have caused that much damage with a floor jack??

yes a jack could

Those aren't the seams right behind the rockers those are the 2 in the center of the car

The seams with the jack points toward the outside of the car are destroyed as well though.

Your right those aren't the seams. But it is likely they are from some one jacking the car up from there.

The only way I see to remove them is to drill the spot welds out and air chisel them off. But like I said, I'm moving back to an awd when this engine build is complete and tuned. The shell may end up at the crusher.

I haven't really been able to work on her lately due to job and father duties but, here's an update. Ive received my head gasket, BSE, arp main studs, and my wally 255. Today I ordered eagle h beam rods with arp bolts and acl race rod and main bearings.

I've received some more goodies. I'm still waiting on my pistons, then to the machine shop it goes. I'll be doing a wire tuck and engine bay shave soon so stay tuned. :D
