I noticed that sometimes when I hit the turn signal or go to put on the brights, my dash lights (all inside lights actually) and tail lights flick off.. If I wiggle the multifunction switch around, they flicker off and on, and if I hold it to turn on the brights, without pulling it all the way for the brights to stay on without me holding the switch, all the dash and tail lights go out until I either let go of the switch or let it click to keep the brights on...
Iv read that issues with the dash and tail lights has something to do with the dimmer switch going out... Would that be the case here? I need to pull the plastics off around the multifunction switch to see if anything is rubbing weird... All fuses seem good other than that. Anything specific I should look for? The dimmer switch works fine itself (dims the dash lights when I turn the knob). Thanks in advance.

Figured out it was the wiring inside the multifunction turn signal switch. Trying to repair the wires. Worst case scenario I buy a new switch

Its the stawk switch. It all comes out off of the steering column. Find a donor and rob it to find out all the little things and replace yours.

Keep in mind while your out yard searching, the '95-'00 Avenger will share the same switch as '95-'99 Eclipse.

Unfortunately all the yards around me are no longer "you pick" yards... So they pick and charge you almost as much as a brand new part. Ugh... The problem was the wiring inside the lever. I repaired it best I could. Everything was working fine. Then I headed to work later that night and now the turn signals won't stay on unless I hold it right before it clicks for the signals... Ugh.. And I tore apart the part of the switch that operates all that and made sure it was all fine earlier. And it was all fine... No clue why now it's acting up after sitting for the rest of the day... I'll probably just order a new turn signal switch since the wiring I repaired may not hold up (I had to stick the wires individually onto their pins outside the plug, and repair a broken wire up the lever)
