so i was looking into what plug wires to buy since first i bought a c.o.p and i hated it made my car run funny so i took it out and now i think i have 3 options

msd 8.5mm super conductors $40 "used like new"

magnecor 8.5mm $80-100 "new"

ngk 7mm wires"blue"

and these ebay wires called vision powercore 10.2mm there only $29.99 they look ok but there from ebay so they could be good could be bad

so what have you all picked in the past and had good or bad results with let me know

alright so as long as there name brand there good :rocks: im probly gonna put the ngk's on for the winter and then when summer comes around ill put something bigger on like the magnecor's thanks everyone

Anything but ebay chinawires, and Magnecore, they are known to be problematic with our cars.

Who have you heard that Magnecore is problematic on DSM? They are top quality amd one of the most uses wires on DSM car along with NGK.

4g63eagle, if you want to stay with your coil-on-pack you got to have a CDI to resolve the ignition problems.

Many guys have had problems with magnecore wires on this board, one guy emailed some guy from the company too and they even said that they have problems with the 2.0's wires.
I myself had problems with them too, I had a brand new set that lasted me 1 month, and about 1,000 miles. They were arcing so bad it melted my coil pack...

I just got my cop and my car runs great.. did you make it yourself?

no i bought it brand new my car just didnt run right with it i put my plug wires back on with the stock coil and it ran fine i just figured it was a defect no big deal only a 100 bucks but then about 2 posts up i was told i need a cdi to make my car run right with my c.o.p i didnt care much for it anyway felt stupid to me when i found out how to make one and that there only stock coils from a v-6 chrysler so there not really a performance upgrade just something fancy looking imo

yea i have read alot of negative things about the 2.0l magnecor wires today i dont think im gonna buy those not for $80 to $100 but the ngk even tho there 7mm i have heard good things i think im gonna but the 10.4mm taylor spiral core wires that only have 50 ohms resistance compared to most wires for the 1g that ive read about having 150 even 300 ohm resistance and there not to bad in price $92 bucks

wow very detailed im gonna buy the msd after that chart the taylors i was looking at have about the same resistance is the msd but i can get a set of msd wires for $40 im gonna buy those

A CDI ignition box is a must if running on a coil-on-pack setup. It's pretty much useless on a coil-on-pack if you don't run a CDI box. Without it you misfire during idle. Some people like miniturbo23 don't have this issue, but regardless that you will need it to insure the correct firing order at high rpm.
