I purchased a second Megan Racing short shifter to do some modifications to it and see how it works. I had 1-1/2 inches cut from it (shortened) and then had it tilted forward 25 degrees. After that I had another linkage pivot hole drilled in it equal distance from the other two and then had the bottom section and the last hole cut off. Also installed a Mishimoto weighted shift knob. Here is the result. Shifts beautifully. Tilting it forward gives some more leverage (keeps your arm at a better angle for shifting) and with it shortened and the new hole drilled, the shifts are super short. Couldn't be happier.
