Sorry guys, cars still in the shop, I was hoping it would be done by now.... as soon as I get my hands on Miko (yes thats my cars name, her name is Miko Bishi) I'll post Pictures

When you did the visor the inside middle did you have to crack it or is there glue that is holding it because when I look at it, it looks like its one piece

Sorry for the delay, but with so much stuff todo this took a backseat (a black leather backseat ;) )

so I started working on the carpet, here are some pics

<img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m82/raullags/DSC04688.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a>
<img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m82/raullags/DSC04685.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a>

I left it soaking over night
<img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m82/raullags/DSC04691.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a>

I read some posts about using simple green to clean the carpet, But I had this rug doctor laying around and it worked GREAT!! it was like a totally different carpet (a much less dirtier one)

<img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m82/raullags/DSC04689.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a>

I used six cans but then went back and got one more to touch up some spots...
<img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m82/raullags/DSC04695.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a>

here we are half and half, look at how much cleaner the tan side is, that rug doctor worked like a charm!

<img src="http://i102.photobucket.com/albums/m82/raullags/DSC04693.jpg" border="0" alt=""></a>

I'll post the pictures of the carpet when I install it along with other updates

thanks for looking guys!

The black is looking good. I had black interior on my 99 GS OZ edition. I never got to paint my grey panels and redo the roof. I'm getting more jealous with every photo. Can't wait to see the finished product. :thumb:

Looks good! I did the same thing to my gsx that had tan interior. You got pretty lucky to find the black seat belts for $50. I got lucky and found all my stuff in a junk yard. I sprayed the tan carpet with black dulipcolor dye and it is wearing out and showing tan, hope you have better luck. Looks good tho

The UV stuff works really well for a clear coat, did this to my lancer years ago. The high temp really isn't that necessary.

Your progress looks good....be sure to post up pics when your done :)

as far as the carpet goes, after the coat you have done dries, just put another layer on. or if you are any good with molding carpet, go to walmart and buy some of the black replacement carpet. I had that in one of my trucks and it worked very well.

Very nice and impressive project. Question: What is the plan for those parts of the interior that are leather? The reason I'm asking is that I have a 1G with tan leather portions and I'm curious as to what is your plan to tackle that part of your project. Thanks.

I found a rear seats in black from some guy on craigslist, I still dont know what I'm going todo with the front seats... maybe sell them and get some mugen seats.

I was counsidering to paint or even dye the seats but was conserned that maybe it wouldnt come out looking the way I wanted

I want to redo my interior to the black and tan interior, and was trying to figure out a way to dye my carpet either black or tan, but couldn't find a dye that would work, did you just spray paint it?

I saw a nice set of "racing seats" at a local Checkers but I didn't take the time to check out the brand or rather or not the brackets would work for either a 1G or 2G. An alternative (and I'm sure would be cheaper) would be to get yourself some used EVO seats that came out of an SSL package. I wish they would fit into a 1G because I'd be all over that.

Well I meet a guy today that has a set of black leather seats but wont sell just the front seats, he wants to sell them as a set, so I might end up with two rear seats... I probably just going to resell the rear seats

SCORE! Okay I meet the guy today with the seats, there from a 99 Spyder.. I didnt know the spyders (or any non OZ Ed) came in black... anyways I bought the door panels in black but didnt know if the seats would fit my GSX...

so my question is

Will Spyder seats from a 99 fit a GSX 97?

are the rear seats the same?

I still have all my original tan parts so I'm thinking I'm going to sell that to get some cash to pay for the seats

thanks guys I'm going to install the carpet and door panels and post pictures tomorrow

Interior looks good...my last DSM was the Barcelona Red with the Tan/Black....always wished i had the black/black

ps:
that is one massive amount of rescirc tubing! have you tried to turn the BOV around so it faces the intake?

I really like the way the transformation is coming along. It makes me want to get a 2G as it seems that there is more versatility as far as interchangability is concerned with the 3G and EVO parts.
