Hi Everyone,

To continue my sad story on my car it still has a misfire and what to stall on occation. My mechanic has had it for the last 4 days and has done every test on the car. Everything is fine except the misfire keeps happening on the # 4 piston. There are no leaks, no electrical problems, no fuel pressure issues, etc. Fuel injectors are good, spark plugs good, maf is good, etc.

If this problem of wanting to stall when stopped when engine gets extremely hot, or now misfiring daily but only on the #4 piston, does anyone have any other ideas of what the problem can be?

Sincerely,

JenJen

I think it would fix the issue if you sell me your manual seat belts :D

more seriously though if you swap the plug wires does the misfire still stay in the same cyl?

Sure I'll sell them to you for $1000 and they come with the car..LOL

Seriously though, he swapped all the wires and plugs. The misfire is still on piston 4.

Any other suggestions?

Thanks
Ps. This is a 1993 Eagle Talon NT 2L

I have had a similar problem on my car. Every few weeks i get a check engine light for cylinder 4 misfire and it never occurs at the same time. Sometimes ill be driving other times just sitting at a light. It has never amounted to anything other then a check engine light. i have swapped wires and plugs to try and figure it out but nothing worked. Since its only a check engine light and i can erase it myself i dont even worry about it anymore.

With that said, if you figure it out let me know as i would love to know what the problem is. Im guessing its a problem in the coil pack.
