Hey folks. In another thread.....I mentioned that I had a transmission line brake while I was driving and leaked almost all the fluid on the side of the road. Well I have gotten that fixed...just wondering if its correctly fixed. 420A engine owners...if you pop your hood, look directly down between your radiator fans. Underneath the fans is a transmission fluid line.....is your line all metal with roughly a 4 inch piece of rubber hose just under the fans? Ive got a metal line coming from the passenger side under the fans going into a piece of rubber hose.....and a metal line coming out of the other end of the hose. Is that the original setup or was this a quick fix? Of course all photos online are all animated black and white photos. Just curious -thanks

thats not un common for a shop to do that. its cheaper then buying a whole new line and to be honest its just as effective in alot of cases. ive done it before and never had an issue.

Is that a wise thing to leave? Is that a pressurized line? I cant aurgue that there wasnt a rubber line there before.....Just want to make sure its dependable.
